Garden Barriers – Loving My New Gardening Shoes
Loving My New Gardening Shoes!
One of my biggest barriers has always been comfortable gardening shoes. In the summer I like to wear sandals, but I don’t like them to get dirty in the garden plus they’re not very practical. For years I’ve tried different gardening shoes:
- sandals
- duckboots
- sneakers
- hiking boots
- slip on moccasins
But nothing seemed comfortable enough or enabled me to work. I’d get mud or dirt in my socks! UCK! Sandals are ok for harvesting, but get me digging anything out and it’s trouble. I’m not a barefoot in the garden girl. I don’t even like to dig with my hands, I like to have gloves on for everything. That’s just me.
I found these cute shoes on Facebook from the Animal Rescue Site a non-profit out of Washington and I am in love.
They’re great for digging with our new broad fork…, weeding, and even running!
What are your barriers to getting in the garden? I’d love to hear!
